Saturday was the NAGA jujutsu tournament. Jessica came in second place in her division. I was very impressed and proud of her. She made a girl that she beat cry. I’ve never seen her that aggressive before on the mat.
I did well, but not well enough, I lost both matches I had and got pretty beat up in the process. I got elbowed in the side of the head in the second match and I think that has been messing with my equilibrium because I’ve been a bit dizzy and off balance all last night and today. But I suppose that is fine compared to some of the injuries that occurred during the tournament. Some guy got his ankle broken and another guy (who went directly before me) got his nose all busted up and was bleeding quite a bit. One of the guys from my dojo got choked out and started vomiting as he was passing out…
There was a minute left in his match and he thought he could hold his breath for that long while he was being choked…I guess things worked out differently than he thought. Thank you to everyone that wished me luck before the tournament. The next tournament is in June
Last weekend I went to an aviation seminar at MacArthur Airport. I’ve been trying attend events and seminars that are directly related to my many diverse hobbies and interests in order to keep me involved. It sounds easier than it actually is. There is only so much time each day available to me for non school related hobbies.
The weather has finally taken a turn for the better
It looks like I will be able to go sky diving with Jess soon.Believe it or not I actually keep a running list of topics I will write about in my next entry, but that list is in Long Island and I’m writing this in Staten Island, so I cannot seem to remember anything on the list…I guess I will just have to save whatever is on it and still relevant for the next entry
