  • Tomorrow I have contracts midterm.  I wrote up a 23pg outline.  I practiced a hypothetical exam problem today and will do one or two more tomorrow morning and then take the exam at 1:30pm.  I worked on my torts assignment, finishing four cases for tomorrow’s 11:30am class.  I was considering skipping the class altogether and probably would have done more contracts work today if I had made that decision, but I also needed to get my mind off of contracts some after spending all day Saturday working on it.

Preparation for this exam has been greater than for torts or criminal law.  I am curious as to how other students in my class prepared since there was so much material to cover and it is all so interconnected.  There are quite a bit of slackers in the class, which only helps me since grading is done on a curve…that is unless I totally botch the exam up which I don’t think is likely but not beyond the realm of possibility.  It appears as though many students are becoming complacent…they aren’t doing their work either as much or they are not putting as much effort in as needed.  This shows in how they brief their cases in class…sometimes it boarders on pathetic.  I feel bad saying that, especially since I am not perfect and it is quite possible I may sound like a dope in the near future briefing a case, but it just seems like it is a more recent trend…the briefs students were giving in the beginning of the semester were actually far better and that was when we really didn’t even know what we were doing yet.
