Pebbles, our little Pomeranian passed away on Friday morning. It was unexpected and of course very upsetting.
Touro Law will not be moving to the new Central Islip location until the spring semester. While this does not negatively impact me in any way it does interfere with many of my fellow students. A few examples in case anyone would be wondering is that:
(1) The dorms are located at the Central Islip location, not the current Huntington location, so those students who are living in the dorms need to be bused in.
(2) There are students with medical concerns who moved to locations close to the Central Islip location and now find themselves further than they had planned.
(3) The only reason some students chose Touro Law over other choices of law school was due to the new state of the art Central Islip facility located next to the Suffolk Court System.
It is a shame when things do not go as planned, but that is merely a result in putting ones faith into the competence and efficiency of others, especially other people you know little about.
I am starting to fall behind in my legal research class. I find myself having trouble doing the research. Some of the other students are having no difficulty. I will have to put more time into it or do something because I have a two page draft of a memo due on Tuesday and I’m not sure how capable I am of actually do the required research with it.
A UFC All Access show featuring Matt Hughes will be on Spike TV on November 13th if anyone is interested. It will show how Matt Hughes trains for his fights. He has an upcoming bout with George St. Pierre on November 18, PPV.
