  • On Thursday night I did not go to Improv Comedy.  Instead I decided to attend a new student reception at Touro Law which was actually pretty informative and enjoyable.  I had dinner with students interested in Criminal Law, spoke with the Assistant Dean, and was able to sit in on a class.

On Saturday was my Yellow Belt exam for Jujutsu.  I completed it in 31 minutes, the instructors seemed impressed, but I was a bit disappointed in two things.  One, I was consistently messing up one technique.  And two, my cardiovascular endurance = 30 minutes it appears.  That’s all I do cardio for in the gym.  I need to get it to an hour of intensive cardio.  I was out of breath.

Had drinks in the city to celebrate a friends 24th birthday.  I had a good time, met some nice people and had enjoyable conversations.

Atlas Shrugged, the novel by Ayn Rand may finally find its way to the big screen.  Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have expressed interest in staring in the film, both supposedly fans of her work.  I always find it quite interesting who finds themselves fans on Ayn Rand.  Her work is generally supported by conservatives and libertarians.  Her philosophy strongly advocates individualism and capitalism, two qualities not held in high esteem by liberals.  After Brad Pitt became involved in the ONE Campaign, I was under the impression he is a liberal, so it makes me just question either how much he truly understands the work on Ayn Rand, or how much he understands the causes he puts his name to.
