So the pop/opera group Il Divo was pretty good.  I liked Radio City.  The sound system was set up correctly and there were no large screens that many concerts employ.  I understand people would like to see the performers that they had paid for, but if you are only watching a large screen, then perhaps you should just be at home.

Today I had lots of shoveling.  After a couple of hours outside I spent a couple of more inside, sleeping.  I was just so tired from so much shoveling.

This week I finished the Koran.  I have decided that without a doubt, I am not a follower of two religions.  The first one is Scientology.  The second one is Islam.  I think both religions are not rooted in reality and sadly the followers of these religions behave in very unacceptable ways in the name of their religion.  We can of course discuss some silly behavior of adherents of the Jewish, Christian, and Buddhist faiths, but the violence, lack of human rights, and absurdities found in the Islam and the Koran itself just are too much.  Sure, there are followers of both Islam and Scientology that have good intentions, good hearts, and are peaceful people, but after reading the Koran and other information on Mohammed (the founder of Islam) and Islam itself, I just feel very sorry for the followers of this religion as a whole.  Scientology on the other hand, well, lets just say it is very hard to take those fellows seriously.  Their beliefs are just simply amazing and the money their followers shell out for it is just plain ridiculous.  If you want to know if a person, organization, or movement is sincere, a good place to start is looking at where the money goes.

    Hello,
I was surfing through blogrings and came across your blog.

Of course because I am a Muslim myself I have to comment one what you said (lol).

Yes the Quran does talk about violence, quite frankly actually, but you can't read a verse by itself. There are rules and the Quran gives you the rules and stuff, so when I read I find myself reading because I understand that such content is only in the situation of defending... not just radomly acting. So I don't get the "violent" affect.

Moving on you mentioned stuff about the the Prophet Muhammad. Hmm I must say that I am very much in the minority on this, but you have to udnerstand hadiths.

Basically hadiths are just what people heard the messenger say and saw the messenger do... and sadly most Muslims take it as true. It is my opinion that it's only heresay, and I have yet to find anyhting in the Quran that authorizes Buhkari or Muslim (hadith collectors)... actually there is nothing.. but again, beuase most Muslims belive that such and such person had a good memory (no joke) then they are obviously stating the truth. Yea... sad, even more so many hadiths are actualyl against what the Quran says. Basically what I am saying is that if you reject hadiths (like I do), you will get whole differnet view of what Islam is. But sadly most Muslims follow hadiths anyway... really sad.

Also may I ask, no offense, but of what race/ethnic origin are you of? You look like you are Middle Eastern or something, or maybe hispanice.... maybe you are jewish? (I don't care what no one says, some people really do look jewish! lol).

    well cya.
