  • Hofstra Law did not accept me, but offered to place me on a waiting list, which I accepted.  Next up is Rutgers.  I should be receiving a response from them sometime this week or the next.  Rutgers would be optimal due to its short commute from Staten Island.

I completed The-Pit: Level 0 Improv Course.  Level 1 begins in two Thursdays.  I’ve been looking more into Stand-up comedy schools and have a list of about four to five schools that I will choose from.  I’m a bit nervous about that aspect of performance.  I have never made my own joke before, nor have I performed in front of a large audience alone in any capacity.  In theater and Improv I am with at least one other person to support me; stand-up will just be me alone.  Anyhow, I’m a pretty cautious person to start with, so I will most likely end up reading at least one if not several books on stand-up comedy to prepare me before I begin a class.  I suppose that would leave me taking a class sometime in about four or five months.  We’ll see.  My view is, if you do not put a date on it, you won’t do it.

Passing on Jujitsu tonight, going to the gym instead, and then going to sleep.  I need to wake up early to take my girlfriend to Hofstra tomorrow morning.

My flight on Friday went okay, came away a bit nauseated…for two days, but that has passed now.  I will schedule another flight to keep my instrument rating current probably for the Middle of February.  To keep ones Private Pilots License current one merely needs to have a flight review every two years, but to remain current as an Instrument Rated Pilot, I need to do six instrument landing approaches, holds, and instrument navigation tracking every six months.  My problem is, I get nauseated after about two approaches, so I must end the flight…sometimes I can get three in.  So no doing it all in one shot for me.

Thanks for the info.  But I have to wonder, did you read the book??  I'm not saying that everything Trudeau says is factual or even true, b/c I don't know that it's not.  But... I do know for a fact that some of the things he says are.  For example, I have gotten an illness as a side effect of an antibiotic I once took.  It was curable too.  But... some prescription drugs - I know for a fact, can and do cause other illnesses to develop as a reslult of their side effects.  And my doctor even verified that the reason I developed that illness was b/c of the antibiotic I was on.  Messed up huh?  Yea, I thought so.  I think you should read the book, before you give out your opinion on it.  He's trying to help people.  If you read the book, you would know that.  He really does give out lots of info on how to live a healthier life too.  And that's a good thing.

    Take care.
