  • Yesterday I became very ill, vomiting several times throughout the evening and night.  Today I decided to remain at home, rather than attend school.  It is my first absence.  I have viewed my attendance to the New York Film Academy as an important issue.  My family is paying a good deal of money for me to attend their one-year acting program and I am very serious about learning as much as possible about the craft of acting.  While keeping this in mind, there are few reasons that should keep me from arriving on time, and even fewer from keeping me from attending class at all.  So that being said, I feel my first absence was one that was necessary, and I feel the time away from school was spent wisely.  I have completed the novel A walk to Remember, by Nicholas Sparks.  It took good several hours to complete, and throughout the reading, I was crying.  It is the third Nicholas Sparks novel I have read, following The Notebook and The Wedding.  He is in my opinion an excellent author, and his stories, which revolve around love always seem to touch me just the right way—meaning a bucket full of tears by the end.
